The Value of Clothing

Do you ever stop to think how much time and thought somebody has put into the garment you are wearing right now?

The Value of Clothing is a collective fashion installation. It consists of ten wearable pieces of art that anyone can borrow to use during Helsinki Design Week free of charge. The project emphasizes the time and thought somebody has put into every garment we are wearing. Its’ goal is to open up the process of making a garment and to better understand the real value of clothing. Photos of the borrowers wearing the pieces will create a virtual installation on of the project.

During Helsinki Design Week 5 - 15 September the creations can be reserved from the designer and picked up at Liike shop, Fredrikinkatu 24, Helsinki.

The project has been supported by The Finnish Cultural Foundation
